New Orleans Wedding Photographer Reviews for Michael Caswell
I have been voted "Best of The Knot" for the past five years in a row by brides and grooms who have gotten married in south Louisiana and Mississippi, consistently receiving very positive reviews from my couples, and am a member of the Knot's Best of Weddings Hall of Fame. Here are some of the wonderful compliments my clients have given me over the years:
Michael, thank you so much for the great work you did at our wedding. The pictures are gorgeous, and we will treasure them forever. Your professionalism is top notch and your attention to detail is exquisite. Thank you again for helping to make our day unforgettable.

You were amazing to work with at our wedding. I was so worried we wouldn't be able to get our group shots done before the ceremony, but you were so organized that everything seemed to come together. I loved the photos posted on your blog, and can't wait to see the rest.

When I got our pictures back I was blown away by how beautiful they are and how Michael truly captured the spirit of our special day. This was a challenge with our giant wedding party. He was able to capture the fun of the day while preserving the beautiful memories. I highly recommend this talented and professional photographer!

— Emily & Ryan, St. Louis Cathedral & Riverview Room in the Jax Brewery building, 2014
Michael is a dream come true in a photographer. As anyone who would probably read this review would know, wedding planning is stressful. Many just don't make the process easy or comfortable. Not Michael. He made every step of the way pleasant, was always understanding, friendly, and responsive, and couldn't have been a better photographer.
— Sarah & Cayman, Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church & Waldolf Astoria Roosevelt Hotel Blue Room, 2014
Yesterday we gifted photos you had sent. We had them enlarged, framed and some canvased. When my mother in law, father, father in law, grandpa and grandma (we gave a lot!) opened their presents they were quiet and just stared with eyes watered. Your ability to capture a photo and take people back to that moment it happened is nothing short of amazing and for that I thank you.
— Nikki & Josh, Southern Oaks Plantation, 2014
Thank you so much for being so easy to work with and photographing our wedding. Your work is one of a kind, and I cannot wait to see how everything turns out.
— Kim & Brandon, Royal Sonesta Hotel, 2013
We cannot say enough about your talent and style as a photographer! You were so kind, flexible, and fun to work with. I cannot wait to see the rest of the photos you captured, because the ones on the blog are just stunning! We will rave about you.
— Meghan & Billy, St. Stephen's Church & Rosy's Jazz Hall, 2012
Thank you Michael for going above and beyond on our wedding day! Our pictures are amazing and we are so blessed that we will have such great documentation of one of the best days of our lives! Thank you again!

What beautiful pictures!! You’ve done such a wonderful job capturing the love and pure joy that we felt that night. Can’t wait to see the rest of them! Thank you for your great work!
— Emily & Scott, Board of Trade, 2010
As mother of the bride, I can only say that you did a spectacular job photographing before, during, and after the wedding! Not only did you beautifully photograph the traditional shots that every mother wants, but you also captured many treasured candid shots of family and friends that joined us for this blessed event. You were wonderful to work with and were very accommodating to everyone's request for their 'special picture' (and there were lots of them!). Thank you, Michael, for the fabulous and professional job you did for us! It went by so fast and I am so blessed to have your photographs to be able to relive those precious moments. You have a wonderful eye for detail and the knowledge of the kinds of photos desired to be treasured for years to come. It has been a pleasure working with you. To anyone looking for a very professional, accommodating, and friendly photographer, I sincerely recommend Michael Caswell. He has exceeded our expectations. Thank you Michael, for everything.
— Cindy (Mother of the Bride), Holy Trinity Catholic Church & Silver Lake Ballroom, Shreveport, Louisiana, 2008
I can't tell you how much it has meant to me to have you handle the photography for both of my daughters' weddings in 2007. Erinn was married in January and Nicole was married in December. The photos truly capture the uniqueness and character of each wedding and the personalities of my daughters. I knew from our first meeting when I reviewed your work that you were very conscientious and welcomed input from the mother and bride about the photography of the wedding. (A very comforting feeling.)
Both daughters currently live up north and wanted to come home to New Orleans to have a real New Orleans wedding, and you certainly captured the feelings and excitement of the events. Michael, I would absolutely recommend you to anyone that needs a personable, caring, professional photographer, who always exceeds expectations - before, during and after the wedding! Thanks again for the beautiful memories. Now that both of my daughters are married, I will have to wait a while until my son (still a little young) plans to get married. I will be in touch! You feel like family now.
— Donna (mother of brides), Rosy's Jazz Hall (first daughter) & Southern Oaks Plantation (second daughter), 2007
I can not say enough good things about Michael Caswell. He is professional, friendly, easy to talk with, and incredibly reliable. We had a destination wedding in New Orleans and had to depend on phone and email from our home in California, he stayed in constant contact with us throughout the preparation, and was very accessible which is important when making plans long distance. I recommend Mr. Caswell highly, his photo's were beautiful, the colors were rich and intense, and very flattering for everyone. I have seen photographers at other weddings who almost seem to interfere with the wedding, Mr. Caswell is not one of these photographers. He was discreet, but managed to cover every aspect of the wedding and reception. Thank you Michael for capturing our wedding so beautifully and preserving it for us forever!
