This gallery consists of some of my favorite photos of my couples. Some were engagement portraits, taken well before the wedding in casual outfits, while others were quick shots captured on the wedding day, and also some that were taken during time specifically set aside for this purpose before or after the ceremony. Having a first look on the wedding day, where the bride and groom see each other prior to the ceremony, is also a great opportunity to capture some wonderful and memorable images of that emotional moment.
New Orleans is a perfect city for engagement photography, and I've done plenty of engagement portrait sessions for couples who are getting married elsewhere but love this city and have a deeply felt connection to it. Audubon Park and City Park are great locations for couples who want beautiful natural scenery, while the most popular area for engagement photographs is the French Quarter. There are a seemingly infinite number of visually interesting spots with classic architecture, cool looking doorways, and grungy-textured walls all within walking distance. The Moonwalk along the riverfront, named for former New Orleans mayor Moon Landrieu, is another great spot.
I've also done engagement portraits at other meaningful locations to the couple, such as their own neighborhood, private land that they have access to, beaches, and other parks.
